Family run business. Have been a bricklayer for 30 years and now my son has followed in my foot steps. I have always been proud of my work especially conservation. I have recently joined rated people because I have had enough of the site work and feel its time to slow down and offer my experience to private work. I would have no hesitation in recommending Jeff Payne of South West Stone to anyone. Mr Payne was punctual. Mr Payne was a pleasure to have working at my home. The bonus was that he thoroughly cleaned up any mess he made which was indeed minimal! Nothing was too much trouble and he was extremely helpful. The work done appears to be all I wanted. Overall I am very pleased.

Sam built the brick and block walls and roof for our 40m2 first floor extension. The first thing he did was point out that a previous builder we had in had used the wrong bricks, then he found us the right ones. A good start. Always quiet, considerate, unflustered and a good choice of music. Very good at cleaning up afterwards. Brickwork is excellent: the window fitters commented on the accuracy of the openings. The price was good and was as quoted, so no nasty surprises. Highly recommended.
