I have been in the trade for 22 years. I worked for dulux before I set up on my own 10 years ago. I undertake all aspects of internal/external painting and decorating with a professional, friendly and reasonably priced service. Had minor roof, soffit & fascia repairs done plus rainwater pipes cleaned out. Quality of work was ok, however their pricing quotations were at a silly high level. Watch out for the upsell, I was quoted £20K for a new roof!

In England, VAT is included in the quoted price unless explicitly stated otherwise. Every quote I’ve paid before included VAT or clearly mentioned it. This isn’t the U.S., where tax is added afterward. For the sake of £17, you’ve lost a customer looking to buy a new boiler.
