I was contacted by many people for the rendering job I needed doing on the house but Owen from Omni Drylining stood out from the others on his approach and explanation of what the job needed. Once they started the work, Owen and his team were superb. Really personable, professional and tidied up as they finished work each day. Owen kept me in the loop and turned up as planned. We are 4th generation of decorator's, luckily most of our work is through word of month, we rarely advertise. We have been on rated books for over four years and hardly ever need to use their scheme, such is our workload! But as self employed traditional painters and plasterers we do become short of work sometimes. We are not toshers, so never work for estate agents looking for quick tosh outs. We do things properly, as taught by the old City and Guilds, so you get a good long lasting finish

Whilst fairly pleased with the work, the renderer (Anatoly), did not place scaffold back into existing location. A scaffold ladder was left hanging by a single clip. Bars and boards not returned closer to the building leaving huge gaps. Red brick dust has stained 4 days after completion. The disgraceful condition of the scaffold is gross in my opinion

DB Building Conservation specialises in the use of lime plasters for the repair of listed and period buildings. We are period property experts. We have extensive experience of lime plastering, render and traditional materials such as lath and plaster and wattle and daub. We also undertake repointing and wall repairs with flint and clunch. I have an MSc in Building Conservation and can advise on many aspects of the care and renewal of traditional buildings whether listed or not. Issues such as damp and insulation in old properties are a speciality. We can also recommend and liaise with other tradespeople who are qualified to repair historic timber, brick and stone. We have a detailed knowledge of regulations as they apply to Listed Buildings and have long experience of guiding owners through the process of obtaining listed building consent. We can prepare documents such as Heritage Statements and repair specs to support applications to alter or repair period properties.

Dan did such a great job with our 17th century lime wall. Painstakingly removing the modern repair without damaging the surrounding plaster and then re-lathing and finishing with lime plaster. You can hardly see where the repair is even though we didn't skim the whole wall to preserve wall paintings. Very clean and tidy and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again, highly recommended.
