Positives: 1. Turned up on time 2. Did listen when it was pointed out where work needed to corrected. 3. Fair price, given typical rates for job. Negatives: 1. Work was of poor quality in some areas, hence needing the correcting. Some work was unable to be corrected, hence low 'rating'. 2. Did not put down 'drop cloths'. Hence mess everywhere. Had to be 'asked' to clean up. 3. Did not 'notice' electrical socket on wall. Had to 'cut out' socket myself. 4. Installed drylining on 1No. wall incorectly and used 'bonding' to correct. It is now likely that I will have to remove bonding and boarding due to weight of tiles to be installed. 5. Purchased materials from a different supplier to that instructed and hence cost difference increase that I paid for. Overall, I would not recommend or use BS again except for very simple jobs. For those of you who gave a good rating you either had a very simple task, or 'got lucky'. We all make mistakes.

The reason why dust sheets were not put down was because the house was a building site and was in a complete mess. There was no socket or markings on the wall for me to know that a socket was going to be placed there. Due to the wall being so out of square bonding was used to correct. Due to Michael not being a plasterer he would not understand this procedure. Materials were purchased from a different supplier than the recommended supplier due to the recommended supplier being out of stock of materials needed. Even if Michael was pleased with the work that I had done as a plasterer I would not have returned for future work due to his attitude and lack of common knowledge. As you can see from my future ratings I am a very good and well established plasterer, due to my knowledge and experience that obviously Michael does not have. For any future plasterers that are called by Michael I advise you not to take the work.

Questioning a clients 'knowledge' or lack of in order to defend yourself is not going to resolve the problems that occured. If a client is not happy with the 'end product', questions should be asked as to 'why' the client is not happy. Maybe offering to charge the cost of materials where the client asked to purchase them rather than where where they were bought? Maybe offering to clean up rather than being asked to clean up? Little things go a long way. It used to be called manners or being courteous.

Michael maybe you should take a leaf out of your own book when it comes to manners and courteous. Instead of keep emailing your more than welcome to call me. I am sure we both have better things to do than to keep this ongoing.

Update on the works that Beau & Co completed. We have had 2No. of the 4No. walls of Beau's work condemed as 'not fit for purpose' by our tiler. We have had to remove the dabs and drylining and re-line the walls. The undercoat bonding that was used was not suitable for plasterboard and did not bond to the boards properly. It is accepted that 'a half bag' of bonding was left for Beau to use. However, we were not advised by Beau that the bonding was not suitable for plasterboard, it was purchased for a brick/ clinker block wall. Additional bonding was provided by Beau. The removal of the plasterboard highlighted that the boards were not affixed correctly to the walls, the number and size of 'dabs' was not as per manufacturers recommendations. Because the dabs were inadequate the removal was easier than expected. Please note that if you are to tile on to plasterboard, do not use a bonding undercoat for cement based adhesives.

Beau was a pleasure to deal with. A commercial and honest discussion re the scope of work and what may be involved. He turned up 2 minutes early at 7.58am and gave me a fair assessment of what was involved and an estimate consistent with prior phone conversation. He repaired whole area of ceiling and also came back the next day to paint. Some small marks on walls but inevitable given large area repaired and left property neat and tidy. Fair value for money as well. I would recommend to others.
Plaster Skimming
Beau provided a very prompt quote for a ceiling that needed plastering. He arrived bang on time, and completed the job quickly and efficiently and to a good standard, and price was very competitive. Would definitely use again.

Beau was friendly, inexpensive and efficient. Did the job on time and to budget
